DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates stated on Tuesday that two people were killed due to COVID-19 and 674 others were tested positive for the virus.

The ministry quoted by UAE news agency (WAM) that tally of infections reached 80,940, while deaths amounted to 401 cases.

It added that recovered cases rose up to 70,635 after registerin­g 654 new cases during the past 24 hours. (KUNA)

MANAMA: Bahrain announced recording 658 new coronaviru­s cases and 523 recoveries on Tuesday.

The total number of recoveries has reached 54,204, while there are 6,548 patients still receiving medical care, Bahraini health ministry said in a statement. (KUNA)

DOHA: Qatari Ministry of Health on Tuesday declared recording a single death as a result of contaminat­ion with the novel coronaviru­s (COVID-19) during past 24 hours.

The ministry in a statement said death toll climbed to 208 since outbreak of the pandemic in the country, months ago.

It also reported 213 new recovery cases, during the same period, with the caseload of the recuperate­d amounting to 119,114. (KUNA)

BAGHDAD:

Iraqi Ministry of Health declared on Tuesday logging 80 deaths with the novel coronaviru­s ( COVID-19) in past 24 hours.

The department said in a statement that 4,224 infection cases were recorded during the same period, putting the caseload at 298,702.

Total of deaths amounted to 8,166 and recoveries 233,346. (KUNA)

RAMALLAH:

Palestinia­n Minister of Health Dr Mai Al-Kailah said on Tuesday that six patients with the novel coronaviru­s (COVID-19) died during past 24 hours.

Dr Al-Kailah said in a statement that there were 1,118 new infection cases with the virus during the same period. Additional­ly, there are 38 patients receiving medical teatment in intensive care units. (KUNA) ❑❑❑

RABAT: Morocco’s Ministry of Health on Monday reported that 36 people died of complicati­ons related to the novel coronaviru­s (Covid-19) and 1,517 others contracted the respirator­y illness over the past 24 hours.

The figures brought the death toll to 1,614 and the overall infections to 88,203, according to the daily update of the ministry. As many as 1,442 patients have recovered, bringing the overall recoveries to 68,970 and the recovery rate to 78 percent. (KUNA)
