Kuwait Basketball Association resumes Cup games

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 15, (KUNA): Kuwait Basketball Association (KBA) resumes games of the 2019-20 Cup which was brought to a complete halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The knockout games will feature defending Champions Kuwait SC against Sulaibikhat, while Kazma meet Shabab. Thursday’s fixtures will see Qadsia playing against Burqan and then Yarmouk against Qurain.

The final will be held on Sept 23. KBA is keen on completing the Cup, whose winner will represent Kuwait in the Arab Basketball Championship, Association’s Secretary General Abdulrahman Al-Khabbaz told KUNA Tuesday.

He said the 2020-21 season would kick start early November with a Super Cup clash, which would include winner of the League and the Cup.
