Kuwait shooting club ranked 2nd in Asian ‘shooting’ championsh­ip SHOOTING

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 15, (KUNA): Kuwait’s national shooting team won Tuesday the 2nd place in AFC ranking after China and before South Korea which came third.

In a statement to KUNA, President of Kuwait Shooting Club Duaij Al-Otaibi said that this feat came as a result of the confederat­ion’s resolution, which classified and counted the medals for each country since 1951 in India until 2018 that occurred in Indonesia.

China won the first place with 96 medals, Kuwait took the second rank with 30 medals, while

SKorea came third with a tally of 45 medals, Al-Otaibi added.

He also expressed gratitude for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al

Sabah for their support and sponsorshi­p for Kuwaiti shooters, besides his appreciati­on for Kuwait’s General Authority for Sports.
