Close ties with Ja­pan serve peace:

Chi­nese Pres­i­dent Xi Jin­ping has called for es­tab­lish­ing “solid” re­la­tions with Ja­pan as such a close re­la­tion­ship is war­ranted by mod­ern times’ re­quire­ments and can serve global peace.

The pres­i­dent, in a cable ad­dressed on Wed­nes­day to the newly-elected Ja­panese prime minister, Yoshi­hide Suga, on the oc­ca­sion of tak­ing the of­fice, noted that cor­dial and sta­ble ties between the two Asian na­tions would serve peace and sta­bil­ity in the re­gion and the globe.

He also stressed that the two coun­tries should ad­here to pre­vi­ously crafted agree­ments.

The two na­tions al­ready co­op­er­ate in di­verse eco­nomic and in­vest­ments sec­tors. (KUNA)
