HH Deputy Amir congratulates Al-Arabi SC on HH Amir’s Cup

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 22, (KUNA): His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, sent a cable of congratulations to Al-Arabi SC Chairman Abdulaziz Ashour on winning His Highness the Amir Football Cup.

In the cable, His Highness hailed the distinguished performance of the two teams, wishing the two teams the best of luck to help raising the level of Kuwaiti sports to achieve more at the regional and international levels.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled AlSabah sent a similar cable.

Al-Arabi SC, on Monday, won His Highness the Amir Football Cup (2019-2020) after defeating Kuwait SC 2-1.

In the first half, Kuwait SC imposed pressure on Al-Arabi SC and managed to score in minute 26 via Abdullah Al-Buraiki.

In the second half, Al-Arabi SC striker Cedric Henry scored in minute 66 to reach and his team the extra time, where the substitute Ali Khalaf scored the second goal in minute 120.

Al-Arabi SC won the Amir’s Football Cup for the 16th time.
