Boost in security:

Brigadier Al-Haddad indicated that the procedures at the border checkpoint­s are ongoing based on the decisions of the Cabinet and the health authoritie­s, which require travelers upon entry to have a PCR examinatio­n certificat­e with a validity of no more than 96 hours.

He insisted that those coming into the country through a border checkpoint should have firstdegre­e relatives in Kuwait.

The Jahra police are looking for three unknown persons for stealing eight heads of cattle worth 800 dinars from a livestock pen in the area, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the suspects before committing the theft attacked the Indian guard and tied his feet and hands behind the back, gagged his mouth and escaped.

A security source said the robbery took place past midnight at a livestock pen in Salmi.

Landmine detonated:

Acting on informatio­n bomb disposal experts from the concerned ministry rushed to ‘Bar-Rahaya’ opposite the sheep market and dealt with a land mine believed to be left behind by the Iraqi army during the invasion and occupation of the country in 1990, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, when the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area until the arrival of the personnel from the explosives department and the landmine was detonated.

Meanwhile , acting on informatio­n bomb disposal experts rushed to Salmi desert and detonated a hand grenade, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily without going into details the hand grenade was found by a Kuwaiti and he informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior.

Fire in coal store:

Acting on informatio­n fire centers from the Shuwaikh Industrial Area and Ardhiya rushed to a coal store in Al-Rai and put out fire, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The fire destroyed 200 square meters of a total area of 1,000 square meters. The damage was limited to material. No human injuries have been reported.

The loss is being estimated and the fire men are investigat­ing the cause of the fire.

Mini-bus stolen: Police are looking for unidentifi­ed thieves who stole the mini bus of an Asian, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In his complaint to the police the Asian said the bus belongs to a company and that the vehicle was parked in front of his house in Doha.

In the dashboard of the bus, he said, he had kept 100 dinars.

The descriptio­n of the vehicle has been circulated to all police patrols and border points.
