Court releases Duwailah in UAE defamation suit
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12 : The Court of Cassation headed by Counselor Abdullah Al-Abdullah has decided to suspend the imprisonment verdict which was issued against Attorney Nasser Al-Duwailah and released him until the matter is settled, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, the lower court had found Al-Duwailah guilty of insulting the UAE.

7 years for man: The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to seven-year imprisonment with hard labor and fined him KD 92,000 over allegations of money laundering and usury in the payment of loans by some debtors, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The Public Prosecution charged the suspect with money laundering through usury, as he collected KD 92,000 in form of a third of the loan granted the debtors, knowing well that the money was illegitimate. He was accused of exploiting the inability of the debtors to get loans from the banks, so he gave them the loans with the agreement to pay the usury.

The Cybercrime Prosecution has decided to extend the detention of a famous female artist, identified as “H.S”, until Monday over allegations of posting an indecent video clip on her SnapChat account, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The artist denied the allegation against her during the investigation, saying that an unknown person hacked her account and published the indecent video clip before she could retrieve the account. The artist is facing charges for misuse of mobile phone and public indecency.
