Corona gets actor:

Kuwaiti actor/ director Misha’al Al-Khalaf who was infected with the coronaviru­s has died at the Jaber Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Khalaf who worked as a director at Kuwait Television, and presented many programs, including

“Sadou” and “Reaction”, in addition to his participat­ion as an actor in several drama series was 48.

He reportedly died in the intensive care unit of the hospital after feeling severe shortness of breath.

Meanwhile, a 10-year-old Kuwaiti died in a traffic accident in a suburb of Subbiya, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a security source, the child was in the car driven by his father and the latter rushed his son to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the accident is not known.

Child dies in mishap:

A 6-year-old Syrian child died after he was run over in front of his family’s home on the coastal road opposite northwest Sulaibikha­t, says Al-Seyassah.

He was run over by a Kuwaiti who is believed to be in his 40s. The child’s body has been referred to Forensics.

The Kuwaiti said the child suddenly came in front of the car and that he could not avoid hitting him which led to his death before arrival at the Al-Sabah Hospital.

A Pakistani has filed a complaint with the Shamiya Police Station accusing an unidentifi­ed Egyptian of assaulting him and has attached a medical report which shows a 10 cms deep cut on the scalp, reports Al-Anba daily.

He said the Egyptian assaulted him following a dispute between them over right of way. The daily did not give more details.

Two Kuwaiti brothers have been referred for interrogat­ion for assaulting each other and one of them for possessing an unlicensed weapon and firing at the other, reports Al-Anba daily.

A case was registered at Saad AlAbdullah Police Station. The incident happened in front of their home in one of the suburbs of Kuwait.

Siblings in fight: Govt worker insulted:

A case of insulting of a government employee on duty has been filed at the Sabah Al-Salem Police Station, reports Al-Anba daily.

A security source told the daily this happened when the official went to the house of the suspect to hand over to him a citation in Sabah Al-Salem, Block 12.

The Ministry of Health has asked its sectors and health facilities to submit the list of employees under the item ‘wage for work’, their work places and nature of work; in addition to filling up the employment status form, reports Al-Anba daily.

The ministry stressed that the monthly bonus will not be disbursed to those who have not received a job status form or attendance and departure statements approved by the official, and that no remunerati­on has been paid for any other work.

The ministry called on the work places to follow up their employees’ commitment to the work system and official working hours, in addition to not transferri­ng any employee internally unless the Office of the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Financial Affairs is notified.
