3 Egyptians, Kuwaiti girl die in 2 traffic accidents

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Two fatal traffic accidents led to the death of four people, reports Al-Anba daily.

In the first accident three Egyptian died in a violent accident which happened on the Sixth Ring Road in front of Jahra Industrial City after their vehicle collided with a truck.

In the other accident, a Kuwaiti girl (9 years old) died, while her grandfathe­r (66 years old) and her two brothers (5 and 3 years old), who sustained moderate to severe injuries have been admitted to the Jahra Hospital for treatment. The accident happened on the Abdali Road.

An investigat­ion has been opened into the circumstan­ces of the accident, amid speculatio­n that a bad vision or unpaved road would be among the causes of the accident.

Child drowns:

A one-year-old Kuwaiti girl drowned in a bathtub in her family’s home in the suburb of Al-Adan.

When the mother felt the child was out of sight she went looking for her and found her in the bathtub.

She rushed the child to the hospital but it was too late. The child was declared dead on arrival.

Police are investigat­ing.

Personnel from

the Criminal Investigat­ion Department (CID) are looking for unidentifi­ed persons who escaped with a silver colored luxury car believed to be worth 20,000 dinars, reports Al-Anba daily.

The theft occurred Friday, Jan 22, 2021, at dawn. According to a complaint filed by two young men (22 and 21 years old) with the Qadsiya Police Station, they were driving along King Fahd Road opposite Mansouriya, when unknown persons forced them to stop, ordered to get out of the car and escaped with the vehicle.

It is surprising the incident happened on a highway, especially since highways are strictly monitored by patrolmen

round the clock.

‘Violent’ thief caught: The security authoritie­s have arrested the suspect who had attacked the money changer in Jahra and stole an undetermin­ed sum of money, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the suspect was armed with a chopper and threatened to kill the money changer if he raised an alarm and escaped with the money.

According to security sources part of the money has been recovered while the rest of the money he said he spent on buying expensive items. He has been referred to the concerned authoritie­s.
