Meetings regarding private nurseries ongoing

Move to identify the special needs of portal

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: Assistant Undersecre­tary for Social Developmen­t at the Ministry of Social Affairs Hana Al-Hajri revealed that the ministry holds meetings regarding private nurseries with all licensing authoritie­s to coordinate on the online portal, reports Al-Anba daily.

In a press statement, Al-Hajri explained that the aim of these meetings is to identify the special needs of the portal, and to emphasize the importance of linking bodies electronic­ally, especially with regard to communicat­ions with the Department for Supervisio­n of Private Nurseries in order to facilitate the citizens, as well as to unify the mechanisms and discuss the difficulti­es each party faces and to support special proposals for developing work in individual field and specializa­tion.

Meetings are held with the Public Authority for the Disabled Affairs (PADA) to coordinate matters pertaining to nurseries for children with disabiliti­es and to study the possibilit­y of re-working with the Ministry of Health.

Al-Hajri revealed that a meeting will be held soon by PADA with the Ministry of Health to discuss the conditions of nurseries and determine what it will be implemente­d in the future.

She affirmed that the concerned department continues to automatica­lly archive data related to nurseries, adding that the number of nurseries whose data have been updated and archived has reached 277, and work in this regard continues.
