Ministry launches campaign on 1,532 holdings in camel area
The Kuwaiti Socialists Association (KSA) participated in the meeting of the Women, Family and Children Parliamentary Committee in the National Assembly, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Abdullah Al-Radwan, said the participation of specialized public benefit societies in the meeting of the Women, Family and Children Committee took a positive character, especially since “we found the members of the Parliamentary Committee very serious and saw their great interest in adopting claims and discussing problems, main issues and claims of concern to the Kuwaiti family. The family has a great position in society and it is the basis of society. We should not ignore any negative aspects that may affect it.”
Al-Radwan explained there are several main demands adopted by the Kuwaiti Socialists Association, including those of the children born to Kuwaiti mothers from expatriate fathers, activating community policing, child protection, the Domestic Violence Protection Law, and several other issues.
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: The Ministry of Electricity and Water launched a week-long campaign on 1,532 holdings in the camel area to ensure the safety of electrical installations in accordance with Law No. 48/2005 and Ministerial Resolution No. 121 of 2017.
Participating in the campaign were personnel from the Ministry’s Judicial Control Sector, the Distribution Networks Sector and the Ministry of Interior and the Public Authority for Youth and Sports.
The deputy head of the judicial police team, Ahmed Al-Shimmari, confirmed in a statement to Al-Seyassah daily, that there are no exceptions during the campaign, and all violations will be dealt with in line with the law, except for humanitarian cases such as sick people or the presence of families living in the area in the spirit of law.
Tolerate
He said, the ministry will not tolerate violations that hamper power network and that represent a threat to the holdings and buildings and people living in the area.
He explained the campaign is the second largest implemented by the Ministry of Electricity and Water after the Kabd campaign, which include 5,800 holdings and fall under the supervision of the northern region team and deputy head of the judicial police team.
Al-Shimmari added the campaign team will issue citations in case there are violations, including supplying power to holdings without the ministry’s knowledge, or tampering with electrical fuses.
He explained the campaign came upon instructions of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Engineer Jassem Al-Nouri, and the follow-up of the Assistant Undersecretary for Distribution Networks Eng. Mutlaq Al-Otaibi, and under his supervision as the Northern Region Team Officer.
Al-Shimmari emphasized the keenness of the senior officials in the ministry to keep in check all violations on the power network and the ministry’s facilities, to protect its components and stop all the infringements that affect the performance of the network.
