Capital Governor Sheikh Talal keen to give City civilized look
Continuous periodic meetings held
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: The Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, around-the-clock is following up the development mechanisms throughout the governorate, hoping to develop its infrastructure and improve its cultural landscape and aesthetic appearance.
This is done by continuous periodic coordination meetings with the concerned authorities and organizing campaigns to keep a tap on building violations within the governorate, especially the Sharq area.
During one such campaign nine violations on investment properties were cited in addition to cutting off power supply to five investment establishments which was done in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and Water, in addition to issuing 24 warning letters so far.
Governor Sheikh Talal said the old and dilapidated structures harm the general appearance, especially the housing of expatriate workers which is overcrowding and more often than not does not adhere to
health requirements, in addition to violations and theft of electric current.
He noted the building violations in the region have accumulated over the years and need some time to get rid of and eliminate the phenomenon entirely. He added, work will continue with all seriousness and sincerity to give the governorate the optimal civilized face as soon as possible.”
