PACI stresses need for online business

‘Staff must not exceed 30pc’

KUWAIT CITY, March 3: The Public Authority for Civil Informatio­n (PACI) said that it will not receive any transactio­n that can be completed ‘online’ and through the electronic services provided on its website www.pack.gov.kw.

PACI said in a press statement it is committed to the instructio­ns issued by the Council of Ministers to reduce the number of workers in government workplaces during the pandemic which should not exceed 30 percent.

The sources indicated the number of appointmen­ts will be reduced in proportion to the work capacity, stressing that no transactio­n will be received without a deadline.

The sources also indicated that the dates for receiving transactio­ns that cannot be completed through the authority’s website ‘online’ and by booking an advance appointmen­t will be in the main building in South Surrah from 9 am to 1 pm for Kuwaitis and from 2 pm to 5:30 pm for expatriate­s and the Jahra branch will work from 9 am to 5 pm in the afternoon.

The sources stated the Civil IDs will be delivered in the main building from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm evening, and in the Jahra and Ahmadi branches 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

PACI requests everyone to adhere to the health requiremen­ts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The Public Authority for Civil Informatio­n (PACI) has updated its annual demographi­cs data, including the registrati­on of the names and ages of citizens and expatriate­s for the year 2020, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to PACI, the oldest age recorded is that of a 119-year-old Kuwaiti woman along with a 115-year-old Kuwaiti man.

Also, the demand for registerin­g the name ‘Ahmed’ increased which came in third place in the list of the most registered names in 2020 compared to ninth in 2019.

The name ‘Muhammad’ is in first place among males, and ‘Fatima’ among females.
