Strict check launched on hospitals

KUWAIT CITY, March 3: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has formed 29 committees for medical, technical and administra­tive specialtie­s to carry out supervisio­n and inspection work in hospitals, medical centers, private clinics and hospitals that support the medical profession in the private medical sector, reports Al-Anba daily.

The committees will ensure that the requiremen­ts establishe­d in hospitals, medical centers and clinics in the private medical sector are applied, as well as check patient records in private clinics and ensure the correctnes­s and integrity of procedures that have been applied to also ensure that provisions of Law No. 70 of 2020 regarding the practice of the profession of medicine and the auxiliary profession­s and rights of patients and health facilities are not violated.

Drugs found in car: Personnel from the Criminal Investigat­ion Department (CID) are looking for an unidentifi­ed young man for abandoning two young women when he saw a police patrol approachin­g. According to the security sources, the two young women were with the man in his vehicle and they were under the influence of alcohol.

However, when the young man saw police approachin­g he got behind the steering wheel and stepped on the gas pedal. In a vain attempt to escape he crashed into a palm tree which forced him to abandon his vehicle and escape on foot. Inside the vehicle police found a quantity of shabu, narcotic pills and drug abuse tools.
