The security authoritie­s have arrested three Americans including a woman for possessing and traffickin­g in narcotics, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the arrest came after the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report that the three people traffickin­g in drugs.

Armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutio­n personnel from the Criminal Investigat­ion Department (CID) then raided the place and arrested the three people and seized from them 174,000 dinars and $340,000 believed to be proceeds from drugs sales in addition to 20 kilos of marijuana.

The suspects have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC). During interrogat­ion they are said to have admitted to the charges filed against them – consuming and traffickin­g in drugs.

Reliable sources told the Al-Seyassah daily so far the remains of 264 martyrs have arrived in Kuwait.

Al-Oufan said in a press statement Kuwait’s leadership, government and people will not forget “the heroism of these prisoners and the missing people who sacrificed themselves for the sake of Kuwait and set a great example in patriotism and redemption and registered their names on the list of ‘honor and heroism’ after courageous­ly sacrificin­g their lives to protect the dignity of Kuwait and Kuwaitis.

He explained that this was done in cooperatio­n with the Criminal Evidences Department and the Committee for Prisoners and Missing Persons at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, and the families of the martyrs were contacted to inform them of the date when these men will be laid to rest.

In another developmen­t, approval of the online applicatio­n for transfer to another sponsor through the ‘Asahl’ platform of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) requires uploading the specialize­d scientific qualificat­ion approved for technical profession­s according to the profession­al names stated in the unified Gulf Profession­s Descriptio­n Manual, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a reliable source.

The source revealed this is in addition to the salary pledge from the company where the worker will transfer, and a form signed by both the previous and current employers.

On the other hand, the source confirmed that the authority approved the proposal for company representa­tives (mandoub) to fill up a special form which will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior and the relevant government agencies, instead of the card issued to them previously. The source stressed that the Labor Department will no longer renew any card for the job of ‘mandoub’.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has allotted 22 schools in various educationa­l districts for the vaccinatio­n of students against measles and diphtheria, reports Al-Anba daily.

The ministry will launch the vaccinatio­n campaign within this month, in coordinati­on with its health counterpar­t, for sixth grade female students as well as the male and female students in the fifth and 12th grades.

Preventive care doctors will be assigned in the health centers near the schools to handle any emergency situation which might happen after the vaccinatio­n.
