Fire Dept seeks Czech expertise
Chief of the General Fire Force, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mikrad, discussed on Sunday with Czech Deputy Minister of Defence Tomáš Kopecný the joint cooperation in the field of firefighting and civil protection and ways to enhance and develop them to reach the ambitions of the two friendly countries.
This came in a press release issued by the Public Relations and Information during the reception of Lieutenant General Al-Mikrad, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the State of Kuwait Martin Dvorak and the accompanying delegation.
The statement added that during the meeting, the Fire Force team welcomed the guests and exchanged with them the friendly talks, discussing existing cooperation between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, souvenirs were exchanged between the two sides.
The Ministry of Public Works announced that a joint team with the Environment Public Authority will monitor violations and infringements of public networks in Jahra Governorate.
The ministry said in a press release Sunday that the joint environmental team visited a number of rain and emergency networks in the bird sanctuary in Jahra, as well as some industrial and crafts areas in the governorate.
She added that samples were taken by the authority’s laboratories to conduct the required laboratory tests to ensure the safety of the outputs from those outfall and their compliance with the environmental protection law.
She indicated that if there is an increase in the percentage of pollutants, a field survey will be conducted for the entire network and the beneficiary body will be addressed and infringements on public networks will be prevented.
