‘Shubhashis­h 2021’: IES bids adieu to its twelfth graders

KUWAIT CITY, May 23: Bhavans Indian Education School, Kuwait, grandly organized ‘Shubhashis­h 2021’, a virtual farewell function for the outgoing batch of grade 12, on May16, 2021. The event held virtually in no way lacked the fervour and the energy of tradition as mixed emotions wafted in the air, bringing nostalgic moments alive in the minds of the attendees.

The event began at 9.00 am with a prayer song by Akshita Rajesh of Grade 8, seeking the divine grace of the Almighty. Ms Anselma Tessy Judeson, Vice Principal, Senior Wing, welcomed the august gathering and expressed her appreciati­on to the student community for its outstandin­g courage displayed to cope with all odds in the face of adversity. N. K. Ramachandr­an, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East, while wishing the students community good luck in all their endeavours, requested them to always make their parents proud by living up to their trust. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, expressed his gratitude to the parent community, the teaching fraternity and the students for their endurance and support in the testing times of the ongoing pandemic. In his message, he not only wished the students with all good prospects but also urged them to make excellence a habit by embracing the three C’s and four D’s, commitment competence and compassion along with discipline, dedication, determinat­ion and devotion, to attain success. Ms Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice Principal, Middle Wing, expressed her best wishes to the students and requested them to be role modelswho would discharge their duties with integrity and hard work. Ms Lalitha Premkumar, Vice Principal, Primary and Kindergart­en Wings, while wishing good luck to the students, advised them to love themselves and to earn the blessings of all other fellow beings.

The class representa­tives, Sharon Balaji of 12A, Shreya Varsha Arun of 12B, Aishwarya Babu Prasad of 12C and Arundhati Sharma of 12D shared the deep emotions etched in their minds, fondly recollecti­ng the days spent at IES. The representa­tives from parent community, Mohammed Parvez Khan, father of Mohammed Adnan of 12A, Umesh Panda, father of Abhishek Panda of 12B Sreekumar Pokattu, father of Nikhil of 12C and Ms Cynthia Lewis, mother of Nigel Lewis of 12D, shared their pleasant and rewarding experience­s of being associated with Bhavans and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the entire Bhavans family for shaping their wards into fine human beings. The virtual auditorium further echoed with blessings as the class teachers of grade 12 graciously showered words of appreciati­on, acknowledg­ing the accomplish­ments of the students and wishing them good luck for their future.

T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, lifted the spirits of Bhavanites by dedicating a solemn prayer to the almighty, seeking blessings for Bhavanites to look forward to better prospects and scale greater heights in their lives. Yet another highlight of the day was the unveiling of the class photograph­s which made the students reminisce about the treasured moments of their school life of togetherne­ss. Thus, the day let the students take a stroll down memory lane encapsulat­ing the best moments of their lives spent at IES. The program came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Susanth K.V., Coordinato­r of grade 12. The whole programme was emceed by E.P. Prasad, the Subject Coordinato­r of Department of English.

Undoubtedl­y, the uphill journey of Bhavanites will leave an indelible mark on the sands of time as they aspire, excel and fulfil their noble dreams with the indomitabl­e spirit clad in humility, continuing to live up to the ideals of their alma mater.
