Training program aims to empower & support Kuwaiti female engineers
Limak launches program virtually
KUWAIT CITY, June 14: Limak Construction Company, Kuwait announced the launch of the fourth edition of its ‘Kuwait Engineers’ training program on May 17, with the aim of empowering and supporting Kuwaiti female engineers and hone their leadership and management skills in the field of engineering, to help them succeed in their future jobs, reports Al-Rai daily.
The program was launched virtually to celebrate the induct 143 Kuwaiti female engineers into the program, in cooperation with the representatives of Limak, the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, the Ministry of Public Works, the Kuwait University, and Turkey’s Bogazici University.
The head of the team, Dr Hashem AlTabtabaei, expressed his happiness with the launch of this version of the program, which aims to create job qualification opportunities for Kuwaiti youth.
On this occasion, the regional director of Limak Construction Kuwait, Kayhan Baghdadtli, said, “We are pleased to launch the fourth edition of our (Kuwait
Female Engineers) training program, through which we value the ambition of young female engineers despite the conditions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Through this program, we aim to help Kuwaiti female engineers achieve their career goals and equip them to be qualified, empowered and ready to make a positive, long-term impact.”
The program is divided into four main phases -- Foundation courses consisting of organizational behavior, communication skills, business environment leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship; Professional courses consisting financial management modules, investment and finance, new trends in the global economy, international trade and marketing; Professional and technical courses consisting of project planning and change management, engineering and quality management and Global issues to empower women, philanthropy, and corporate sustainability in the field of corporate social responsibility and global warming.
