Kuwait FA sacks Carrasco, names Enad as new coach

KUWAIT CITY, June 14, (KUNA): The Kuwait Football Association named Thamer Enad, a Kuwaiti, as a new manager of the national football team replacing the Spanish Andres Carrasco.

In a press statement, the KFA said that the decision appoint Enad came after the team’s failure to reach the second round of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.

The association also apologised to all the fans for the bad results.

The Kuwaiti team drew with Jordan 0-0 on Friday in Group B of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup.
