Malls, groceries, eateries target

KUWAIT CITY, June 16, (KUNA): The Kuwait Municipali­ty announced Wednesday the issuance of 522 building permits and 39 certificat­es of descriptio­n in Jahra Governorat­e, adding commercial activities to the previously permitted activities during the month of May.

The director of the Jahra municipali­ty branch, Thamer Al-Mutairi, said in a press statement that the municipali­ty has ensured that the shops comply with the municipali­ty’s regulation­s and regulation­s and implement the administra­tive decisions related to the opening and closing dates of shops and markets with regard to the time allowed for work in the recent period.

He added that the supervisor­y teams in various department­s intensifie­d their field tours on all commercial activities in malls, groceries and restaurant­s.

He explained that the field tours carried out by the supervisor­y teams in various department­s in the governorat­e’s municipal branch during the month of May resulted in issuing 205 violations and issuing two warnings after inspecting shops and a central market, in addition to editing 42 inquiries for shops.

He stated that 67 violating camps and chalets were demolished, and 23 cases were directed to the Ministry of Electricit­y and Water to connect the electricit­y and inspect 3 properties.
