KD 6.5 m allocated in budget Bonuses for MPW employees in July

KUWAIT CITY, June 16: According to informed sources from the Ministry of Public Works, various sectors have completed the appraisals of their employees for the year 2020 in preparation for the disbursement of excellent performance bonuses to those who qualify based on the conditions and decisions of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and some additional conditions set by the ministry, reports Al-Qabas daily.

They explained that the coming period will witness coordination with the finance department of the ministry to ensure the availability of necessary funds, after which the matter will be presented to the

Personnel Affairs Committee.

The amount allocated in the budget is estimated at KD 6.5 million. It is expected that the funds will be deposited in the month of July into the bank accounts of the employees who meet the conditions. The ministry’s initial estimate of the number of beneficiaries indicate that they exceed 9,000 out of the total 14,800 employees of the ministry.

Regarding whether the value of the bonus this year is expected to reduce, the sources indicated that, according to the decisions of CSC, the ministry may reduce the value but it cannot increase the value more than the estimates stipulated by the concerned authority.
