Technocrats to fill senior positions in Municipality

KUWAIT CITY, June 16: The Kuwait Municipality said soon it will rotate some senior officials including branch managers and heads of departments in all governorates and also will not renew the contract of some deputy directors-general and branch managers saying the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing and Development Affairs Shaya Al-Shaya prefers to inject new blood (technocrats) into the Municipality to help develop work in future, reports Al-Rai daily quoting official sources.

The source told the daily this will be done in conformity with the educational certificates and will include all heads of departments and sections, according to a work mechanism that has been adopted by Minister Al-Shaya which is aimed at making a qualitative leap in various areas of municipal work.
