‘Technology Business City’, one of most prominent activities okayed

KUWAIT CITY, July 3: The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Youth, headed by the Minister of Informatio­n and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdul Rahman AlMutairi, has approved the projects and programs of the Youth Developmen­t Authority for fiscal (2021/2022) and its operationa­l plan, reports AlSeyassah daily.

The Director-General of the Authority, Dr. Mishaal Al-Rabie, said in a press statement after the fourth meeting of the authority’s board of directors, which was held at its headquarte­rs in Shuwaikh, that these programs and projects come in implementa­tion of the national youth policy aimed at empowering young people and supporting them to take senior positions in all youth fields.

Al-Rabie explained one of the most prominent activities that have approved at the meeting was the Technology Business City project, which will create an attractive environmen­t for small and medium enterprise­s projects for the youth in the field of technology and what it called ‘artificial intelligen­ce’.

He added this big project, which will be built on an area of 13 square kilometers, will be in direct partnershi­p with the Investment Promotion Authority, and will support the initiating youth in this important field so that the city becomes an incubator to enter the local and internatio­nal markets.

He stated that the council also approved the establishm­ent of a number of seasonal programs and keenness to involve the largest number of young people in them such as the (Youth Creativity League), (Profession­al Entreprene­ur), (Work Makers), (Digital Library) and (Our Stadiums and Future Rulers).

Al-Rabie’ reported that a number of creative programs and projects have been approved, such , “Lens” program, “Voice of Youth” and “Broadcast Studio and Content Makers Incubator” projects, “Youth Valley”, “My Hobbies 3” and “Cultural Creativity Wheel”, saying the authority has support from all partners.
