Kuwait’s Youth Authority launches project to train youth leaders, graduates
KUWAIT CITY, July 4, (KUNA): Director General of Kuwait’s Youth Public Authority (YPA) Dr. Mishaal AlRubaie said Sunday that the authority launched a project to train and prepare youth leaders and new graduates in a number of fields.
In a statement marking the launch of the training program for lawyers’ assistants, Al-Rubaie said that project aims to create a generation of young leaders in addition to providing job opportunities for young graduates.
The project is listed in the state development plan (2021-25), as it works on preparing integrated programs for youth within the national youth policy, approved by the Council of Ministers, he said.
Regarding the launch of lawyers assistants program, AlRubaie explained that the two-month program being held in cooperation with Kuwait Society of Lawyers, for 54 persons to train them to work in law firms and carry out legal advisory roles in the country, he added.
This training program is the first of its kind in Kuwait, as it will give trainees skills required especially as it is a profession created by Public Authority of Manpower and Supreme Council for Development and Planning with the aim of “Kuwaitization legal jobs in the country,” AlRubaie said.
In other news, Kuwait’s Youth Public Authority launched last week the final qualifiers for the Youth Creativity League, which it is organizing for the second season, with the participation of more than 265 young men and women, and includes youth competitions in several scientific, cultural, religious, literary and artistic fields.
The official spokeswoman for the authority, Asrar Al-Ansari, said in a press statement that the league includes holding competitions in the fields of the Holy Qur’an, robotics, programming, mathematics, arts and short stories, in addition to the art of debates.
