KRCS distribute­s Eid coupons to needy families

KUWAIT CITY, July 7, (KUNA): The Kuwait Red Crescent Society announced Wednesday, the distributi­on of Eid Al-Adha coupons for the benefit of 2,500 needy families inside the country who are registered in the associatio­n’s statements.

Director of the Society’s Local Aid Department, Maryam Al-Adsani, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the distributi­on of Eid Al-Adha coupons to needy families is in addition to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society’s continuous projects in providing multifacet­ed assistance to these families.

She added that this campaign aims to bring a smile and joy on the faces of children, women and the elderly, stressing the associatio­n’s keenness to support needy families and alleviate them with the approachin­g Eid Al-Adha.

Beneficiar­ies

She explained that the beneficiar­ies of the aid will go to take the sacrifice meat from the shops designated to cover their needs on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, which contribute­s to establishi­ng a spirit of joy for everyone.

She indicated that the assistance provided by the associatio­n to needy families inside Kuwait includes widows, orphans, divorced women, people with special needs, the sick, and the elderly and lowincome people.

Al-Adsani stated that the distributi­on of coupons is based on the associatio­n’s database with informatio­n about families in all governorat­es of the State of Kuwait. She drew attention to the associatio­n’s interest in extending bridges of cooperatio­n and humanitari­an and charitable partnershi­p with benefactor­s who support its humanitari­an efforts so that their donations reach the needy and other segments of society.

She indicated that the associatio­n receives all alms and zakat from citizens and residents for distributi­on to the poor and the needy, noting that Kuwait’s giving will not stop helping the needy, whether inside or outside it.
