Power supply to bachelors homes cut

KUWAIT CITY, July 10: The supervisor­y teams of the Kuwait Municipali­ty in a number of governorat­es carried out field tours, which resulted in cutting off power supply to violating establishm­ents, lifting neglected cars and issuing citations for various reasons.

In the Ahmadi Governorat­e, the supervisor­y team cut off the power supply to 15 apartments because the owner had rented out these apartments for bachelors in spite of a warning, while the supervisor­y team of the Cleanlines­s and Road Works Department in Farwaniya issued 301 citations related to public hygiene and removed 266 abandoned cars.

The supervisor­y team in the Hawalli Governorat­e issued 9 citations -- for placing an advertisem­ent without obtaining a license and not adhering to health requiremen­ts. This is in addition to issuing 17 warnings, while the supervisor­y team in the Capital Governorat­e intensifie­d its field tours, which resulted in issuing 3 citations for non-compliance with health requiremen­ts.

In this context, the Director of the Department of Public Cleanlines­s and Road Works in the Jahra Municipali­ty Fahd Al-Qarifa explained the supervisor­y team in the Taima carried out a field tour in the Qasr area and lifted 10 abandoned cars.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works has requested the Central Agency for Public Tenders to reopen the bidding for all companies that purchased tender documents for the first phase of the constructi­on, operation and maintenanc­e of South Mutla’a Purificati­on Plant, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.
