Kuwait & Britain relations strategic, ‘exceptiona­l’: dean of ambassador­s

LONDON, July 11, (KUNA): Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United Kingdom Khaled Al-Duwaisan has affirmed that the deep-rooted KuwaitiBri­tish relations are strategic and exceptiona­l.

The two countries’ officials are keen on boosting the bilateral ties at diverse levels and hold regular coordinati­on for serving interests of the two friendly nations, said Al-Duwaisan in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after he was honored at the

Caledonian Club in his capacity as the number-one diplomat in the nation.

Al-Duwaisan affirmed that the Kuwaiti-British Guidance Committee, establishe­d in 2012, holds a meeting every six month, rotatingly in Kuwait or London, for coordinati­on on issues of joint concern.

The Caledonian Club is an associatio­n founded in London in 1981.

In the beginning, the club comprised eminent Scottish personalit­ies and later the membership included prominent figures linked to Scotland.
