The Guest Show set to feature Dana Winner

KUWAIT CITY, July 12: The Guest Show will feature Dana Winner, Knowledge and Information Management Consultant. Dana has had an interesting life. Born in the US, she was brought up in a culture of innovation. Her father was involved in many groundbreaking projects with the US government in the IT sector, ensuring that Dana’s passion for the IT field started early. Interestingly, Dana sang spiritual music in her early years. Dana is an expert in cybersecurity and knowledge and information management. She built her first computer in 1963 and since 1972, she has designed and implemented IT systems in London and for the US Federal Government, United Nations and for Kuwait, Dubai, Iraq, and the private sector. Apart from this Dana is a strong advocate for education and human rights. She and her husband Khaled spearhead Access Jahra, an initiative supported by the US State Department for teaching English to children from the deprived community. In this show, Dana speaks of the role of women in the early history of computers, her early years as a singer, her journey in IT, the role of Kuwaiti women in the IT sector and the role of IT innovation in Kuwait Vision 2035.
