CBA honors students for joining BGS Society
KUWAIT CITY, July 15: The College of Business Administration (CBA) at GUST congratulated students for becoming certified members of the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) International Honor Society. BGS is an academic honor society reserved for the top business school students and this is the second annual ceremony where GUST students have been awarded. The ceremony was held virtually via Microsoft Teams due to the current health and safety precautions taken by GUST.
The ceremony awarded a total of 32 students which included 28 undergraduate students and four Master of Business Administration students. The students were welcomed and awarded certificates by the Dean of CBA Dr. Jean-Paul Araout and Advisor of the BGS Chapter in Kuwait, Dr. Yaseen Tahat. The students were also notified that they can pick up their certificates from campus.
Dean of the College of Business Administration, Dr. Jean-Paul Arnaout said “I want to thank you for demonstrating once again that GUST is the place where bright minds can grow and shine. Being initiated to the Beta Gamma Sigma is a stamp of international recognition of your superior academic achievements.”. Students were
appreciative and proud of getting the BGS membership, praising GUST for this gesture.”
Since 1913 Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society have recognized and honored top performing students from around the world in business schools accredited
by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). GUST have previously had students join BGS for the 2018/19 Academic Year and now have celebrated 32 new certified members for the 2019/20 Academic Year which is a testament to the university’s push for greater academic excellence.
