Ministry coordinate­s with ‘Banks Union’ on installmen­t cut

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: An official source in the Ministry of Electricit­y, Water and Renewable Energy said the ministry has sent a letter to the Union of Banks to organize the process of overdue bills payment by the customers who wish to transfer their account from one bank to another, reports AlAnba daily.

The sources this is done to protect the rights of the ministry and the state when it comes to collecting its dues because when the customers change their accounts from one bank to another, it finds it difficult to deduct installmen­ts.

The ministry has also requested the banks to request a clearance letter from the ministry when a customer transfers the account from one bank to another.

9 tender for ‘homes’: The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has divided the public buildings and low-cost homes tenders for the constructi­on of alternativ­e housing project N5 in Sulaibiya and Taima areas into 9 parts, reports Al-Anba daily.

This is done in coordinati­on with the Ministry of Finance, and starting from the next fiscal year tenders will be floated gradually depending on the availabili­ty of funds allocated to the housing projects.

It is noteworthy that the low-cost housing project is one of the vital projects that the PAHW is implementi­ng on an area of 830.30 hectares, which is approximat­ely 16 km from the city of Jahra, towards the south of Salmi Road, and includes an area for private housing estimated at 5,144,300 square meters, which will be an alternativ­e to the existing housing in Taima and Sulaibiya residentia­l areas.
