Engineers corps role wins praise
Minister tours facilities
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 6, (KUNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah stressed the importance of the role of engineering military installations in its various departments and its distinguished work to implement and follow up vital projects and provide all forms of support and assistance to the various military and civil sectors of the Ministry of Defense.
This came on the sidelines of Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali’s inspection visit on Sunday to the engineering of military facilities, as he listened to a detailed explanation of the role played by the engineering of military facilities in terms of construction, reconstruction and maintenance of the ministry’s buildings and camps.
A statement by the General Staff of the Army said that Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali was briefed during the tour on the role played by the facilities engineering in following up and monitoring the engineering and technical construction and maintenance operations since the beginning of the design of those works through the stages of planning, implementation and delivery through the efforts of its specialized human cadres of engineers, technicians and administrators.
Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister, for their great efforts and continuous work in order to implement the various tasks and duties entrusted to them with sincerity and dedication to serve their country and work to achieve its elevation and development from various positions and responsibilities.
He stressed, according to what was stated in the statement, that the Ministry of Defense, based on the government’s post-pandemic vision announced by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, is working to implement the pattern and approach of permanent follow-up and monitoring of its various projects and work programs.
He explained that this is done through its commitment to the standards and indicators adopted in measuring and evaluating the level of performance and submitting it to periodic reports on the work that has been accomplished and the tasks and duties assigned to its sectors.
He said that the Ministry of Defense, in its various military and civil sectors, harnesses its human and technical capabilities to serve the various government efforts and translate its goals within the efforts aimed at advancing and upgrading the administrative and field level of the various ministries and state institutions and building bridges of cooperation and joint teamwork with them.
It is noteworthy that the Defense Minister’s tour included the Army’s Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah, Deputy Defense Minister Sheikh Fahad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Fahd Al-Nasser.
