Ministry keen on safety of teachers, students; staff members hit 16,892

PAM offers job opportunit­ies for Kuwaitis in private schools

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: The Ministry of Education said that with the reopening of the schools for 2021/2022 scholastic year the number of teaching staff members in general education schools at the secondary level in various regions and educationa­l levels reached 16,892, reports Annahar daily.

The educationa­l sources explained the number of male employees was 7,882, while the total number of female employees reached 11,010, including 3,354 teachers in the Capital Educationa­l District and 2,353 in Hawally Education area, while the number of employees in the Al Farwaniya Education area reached 3,408 teachers.

The sources added the number of workers in the Ahmadi Educationa­l District was 4,293 male and female teachers, while the number of workers in the Jahra Educationa­l District was 2,748, in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educationa­l District, 2203, and 341 in the Religious Education Department, and 192 in the Special Education Department.

Congratula­ted

The ministry congratula­ted all members of the educationa­l and administra­tive bodies, parents and students for officially returning to schools, stressing its keenness on the safety and security of all and providing an appropriat­e environmen­t for school hours.

Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has opened the door for appointmen­ts in a private sector schools for Kuwaitis who hold university degrees in scientific discipline­s, reports Al-Qabas daily.

PAM has announced a number of vacancies especially for teachers of Arabic language, Islamic education, mathematic­s, science, English, special needs, primary school and kindergart­en. This is in addition to social workers for graduates with two years experience.

PAM has set the October 3 deadline for receiving applicatio­ns via the designated e-mail on PAM’s social media account.
