Egypt’s minister commends cooperation ties with Kuwait Fund
CAIRO, Sept 27, (KUNA): Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli commended Monday “deep-rooted” relations with State of Kuwait, and said his government sought to further develop cooperation with Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development which he considered “one of Egypt’s major partners in development.”

Al-Ghanim and his delegation, thanked Kuwait Fund for supporting development projects in Egypt, the premiership said in a statement.
He noted KFAED financed some USD 3.6-billion worth of 54 projects in sectors of health, transportation, agriculture, electricity, oil and water.
Madbouli said he was looking forward to “deepening partnership” with KFAED to finance “new development projects” including in Sinai peninsula, which improved the living conditions in the region.
Al-Ghanim said he was happy to be in Egypt to participate in the launch of development projects, and added that Kuwait Fund was keen on contributing to development in Egypt.
Al-Ghanim will attend inauguration of Bahr Al-Baqar water treatment station. The station, in Port Said Governorate, will be inaugurated by President Abdulafatah el-Sisi.
The station will treat 5.6 million cubic feet of water per day and to water will be used to irrigate farm lands in northern Sinai. (end)
Meanwhile, Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania AlMashat commended the cooperation ties with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) for its prominent role in supporting development in Egypt through financing priority projects for the Cairo government.
In a statement Monday, the Ministry said this came during her meeting with Director General of the KFAED Marwan Al-Ghanim, as part of his current visit to Egypt.
She described KFAED as one of Egypt’s most important partners in development.
The Egyptian government is always looking forward to developing cooperation relations with KFAED, she pointed out.
She also reviewed the current situation of the development projects being implemented with funding from KFAED, most notably the project of the Sinai Peninsula Development Program.
Meanwhile, Al-Ghanim commended the development projects that Egypt is witnessing, noting the Bahr Al-Baqar project, east of Port Said, the statement said.
He considered KFAED as a key partner for Egypt, mentioning the achievement in mega projects in Egypt.
