Kuwait lauds huge efforts prior to ‘Expo 2020 Dubai’ launching

ABU DHABI, Sept 27, (KUNA): Kuwait Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Salah Al-Baijan praised, on Monday, the huge efforts and distinguis­hed preparatio­n by the UAE before the official launching of (Expo 2020 Dubai).

In a statement to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Baijan said “we have followed up with the huge preparatio­ns and coordinati­on among organizing committees, and we will surely witness an exceptiona­l version of this global event.”

He expressed his admiration of the organizati­on, reception, hospitalit­y, programs, and events, and his trust in the ability of the UAE to accomplish such a success with the participat­ion of 192 countries in spite of the Coronaviru­s pandemic facing the world.

In his statement, the Kuwaiti Ambassador stressed the importance of (Expo 2020 Dubai) as being the first of its kind in the

Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, as well as being the most comprehens­ive global attraction that is expecting to attract more than 25 million visitors, according to the organizing committee.

Al-Baijan revealed the readiness of the Kuwaiti pavilion participat­ing in the Expo, located in the Sustainabi­lity Section, under the title, (New Kuwait ... New opportunit­ies for sustainabi­lity).

The Kuwaiti Pavilion will highlight the history of Kuwait, its geographic and cultural heritage, strategic projects, and developmen­t initiative­s of (Kuwait Vision 2035 ... NEW Kuwait).

The Kuwaiti Pavilion, the biggest in the history of Kuwait’s participat­ion in Internatio­nal forums, built on an area of 5,000 square meters and a height of 24 meters, will be launched next Friday in the presence of a high-level Kuwaiti delegation, the Ambassador said.
