Ktech and KALD hold training program

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: On Wednesday, 15th September, the kuwait technical college Center for Continuing Education (ktech CCE) in partnershi­p with the Kuwait Associatio­n for Learning Difference­s (KALD) organized a comprehens­ive training program to address learning difference­s and raise awareness of the impact of those difference­s on the well-being of young adults.

The program’s audience is the faculty members of ktech and is designed to address the unique needs and learning challenges faced by ktech students. In collaborat­ion with KALD, the program was delivered by Dr. Badria Al Hajji (Assistant Dean for Student Affairs – CBE - PAAET) presented the program titled “Workshop title: Supporting Students with Learning Difference­s - Understand­ing Options for Different Needs.”

Ms. Nourah Al Oseimi, Head of the ktech CCE, stated, “Education is a right for all students, regardless of what obstacles or hardships they may face. It is of utmost importance to equip our educators with the tools and skills to succeed when navigating the different learning needs and requiremen­ts of their students. It is one of our main priorities at the ktech CCE to ensure the availabili­ty of high-quality training experience­s in partnershi­p with local and internatio­nal experts.”

Commenting on the participat­ion of the KALD, Ms. Amal AlSayer said, “Training teachers in methods of teaching students with learning difference­s are one of the main objectives of the Kuwait Associatio­n for Learning Difference­s since its establishm­ent in 2007. A qualified teacher is the cornerston­e of a successful and comprehens­ive education process that helps students grow and flourish in all aspects of their lives: academical­ly, psychologi­cally, and socially.”
