So far; about 6,000 Kuwaiti students have registered in Egyptian universities through the Study in Egypt initiative and about 5,000 have been nominated – 3,311 of whom have already enrolled and paid fees, Kamal disclosed.

She affirmed the Study in Egypt initiative provides opportunities and facilitates procedures for international students, including Kuwaitis, such as automating all procedures, electronic payment services, and equivalency of certificates.

The initiative also provides some services to ease procedures for studying in Egypt, including the mechanisms implemented by Egyptian universities like the hybrid education system, which allows actual and virtual attendance in classes in light of the Corona pandemic, she concluded.

The Kuwait-based Global Charity Association for Development, Tanmeia, have completed building a 40-unit housing compound for displaced Yemenis in Marib.

The homes, which are solar-powered, each contain two bedrooms, a toilet and a yard, the charity’s director Raed Ibraheem said on Thursday.
