June 25: Abu Dhabi renewable energy company (Masdar) signed a strategic agreement to develop solar projects in Iraq.
July 10: The UAE banned travelers from Indonesia and Afghanistan from entering the country, part of anti-Covid measures.
July 14: The UAE announced USD 763.7 million investments in oil wells to boost production to five million barrels per day by 2030.
Aug 3: The UAE sends two cargo planes to Tunisia carrying 47 tons of medical supplies, a number of respirators and oxygen cylinders related to addressing the (coronavirus) pandemic and limiting its repercussions.
Aug 5: UAE announces the exclusion of new categories of travelers from some countries from which arrivals have been banned, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda.

Aug 30: UAE announces that it will open the door to receiving applications for tourist visas for vaccinated tourists from all countries who have received full doses of the WHO-approved vaccine against Covid-19 virus.
Aug 30: The UAE issues a law to promote and protect human rights and freedoms, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, laws in force in the country, and relevant international charters, covenants, and agreements.
Sept 5: Abu Dhabi welcomes all fully vaccinated tourists and residents travelling from all countries around the world.
Sept 5: United Arab Emirates announces the ‘Principles of the 50’ document, the first project within the (projects of the next 50 years) which will form a strategic roadmap for the country’s new era of political, economic and social development.
Sept 16: The United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom signs a “new bilateral working agreement for the Partnership for the Future” to invest USD 13.8 billion in British projects.
Sept 25: UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan approves a new federal government cabinet.
Oct 5: UAE announced a new space mission which included the construction of a space ship that could travel 3.6 billion kilometers to reach Saturn and seven planets, and land on the last planet. The journey lasts for five years.
Oct 6: The government gave public sector employees an exceptional six-day leave to allow them and their families visit Expo Dubai 2020.
Oct 30: UAE withdrew its diplomats from Lebanon and banned citizens from traveling to Lebanon.
Nov. 3: UAE celebrated the Flag Day which commemorated assumption of office of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
Nov 9: UAE and Bahrain signed a number of MoUs.
Nov 10: Industry and Technology minister Dr. Sultan Al-Jaber said the UAE would host the climate summit (COP28) in 2023.
Nov. 24: Turkey and UAE signed cooperation agreements.
Nov. 25: International Police, Interpol, elected UAE’s Ahmad Al-Raisi as president.
Nov. 29: UAE suspended travelers from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Mozambique.
Dec. 1: The UAE registered the first Omicron case.
Dec. 2: The UAE and France announced that Paris would supply the UAE armed forces with 80 Rafale jet fighters and 12 Caracal helicopters with a value of USD 18.75 billion.
Dec. 3: UAE and France signed cooperation agreements and MoUs to expand their strategic partnership.
Dec. 7: The UAE government approved new working days for the public sector, through which people would work full days from Monday until Thursday while Friday would be a half day. The weekends would be on Saturday and Sunday. The new system would take effect-starting January.
Dec. 13: UAE news agency announced that Abu Dhabi and Israel voiced desire to boost trade and economic relations through establishment of a fund for research and development.
Dec. 15: UAE suspended travelers from Congo starting December 17.
Dec. 17: Mohammad bin Sulayem elected president of international Automobile Association (FIA) to be the first Arab occupying this position.
Dec. 19: UAE announced only vaccinated people would be entering government departments starting January 3, 2022.

Feb 8: Arab Foreign Ministers stress, after a meeting, the refusal of any Israeli plans or measures that would negatively affect the rights of the Palestinian people, violate the international law, and undermines the two-state solution.
Feb 23: The Arab committee for human rights approves at the conclusion of a special session, the State of Kuwait’s suggestion to rename the Arab Commission for Human Rights to become a Committee of the Arab Charter on Human Rights.
March 3: The Arab League Council at the Ministerial level urges the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, and welcomed the ICC rules to have jurisdiction over war crimes and atrocities committed in the Palestinian territories.

March 25: The Council of Arab Interior Ministers stresses in its 38 session in Tunisia, complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and condemns attacks by the Houthi militia and its frequent assault on civil facilities, and welcomes the Saudi Initiative to end the war in Yemen.
April 3: The Arab League expressed its comprehensive solidarity with the measures taken by the Jordanian leadership in protections of its security and stability.
