‘Lift affliction from our brothers in Jerusalem, liberate Al-Aqsa’

-

“THE storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the army of the Israeli enemy through an unprecedented number of intruders during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan in addition to the arrest of hundreds of Palestinians terrifying the worshipers and assaulting women and children, represent an oppressive and terrorist practices,” columnist Dali Al-Khamsan wrote for Al-Anba daily.

“This is what is being done by the government of the Zionist entity in full view of the civilized world and the governments which profess their commitment to democracy and human rights.”

“Not just that, we found all international organizations are no better than spectators instead of defending Jerusalem, as if they are supporting the groups of the alleged temple who have announced that they intend to carry out the Hebrew Passover sacrifice inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque and shed blood inside the sanctuary of the Dome of the Rock which the Zionist extremists believe that this is the site of the immolation slaughter of the alleged temple.

“However, with regard to this desperate attempt to defile the Jerusalem-based Al-Aqsa Mosque, we found how the Islamic world still stands idle as spectator satisfied with issuing statements to denounce the act but is this what we are satisfied with? For how long are we going to put up with this?

“We know that all what is happening was an outcome of a campaign that has been waged by extremist Jewish groups which call for intensifying attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Passover.

“Such being the case, it is the duty of the Muslims to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Islamic holy places in Palestine because these places are part and parcel of their dogma, history and civilization, given the fact that Al-Aqsa Mosque, represents the place of the hearts, the pearl of the religions and the Masra of the Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him), from where he had ascended to the heaven and must be defended, even by a word or by an informational attitude through the articles and pictures as well as in every possible way, particularly since we know that the media can play a major and important role in supporting the Palestinian cause.

“In this context, we refer to the poet Nizar Qabbani, who through his poem on Jerusalem said: Oh Jerusalem… Oh the city of sorrows … Oh the big tear drop in the eyelids, who will stop the aggression against you?

“Oh the pearl of religions, who will wash the blood from the stones of the walls? Who will save the Bible? Who will save the Quran? Who will save Christ from those who killed Christ? Who will save the human being?

“With regard to Kuwait, this State always stands and forever will stand with the State of Palestinian and its people and its government and all the people who reside on its lands always confirm that Jerusalem is in the heart and it is the capital of the Palestinian State, hence, the Kuwaiti people, have expressed their dissatisfaction and rejection against such attempts exerted to defile Al-Aqsa Mosque and have emphasized that Jerusalem shall remain a redline, that should not be exposed to any aggression.

“As a matter of fact, Almighty Allah, had preserved the Muslims holy places from the human pigs, as such, during these blessed days, we pray to Almighty Allah sincerely to lift the affliction from our brothers in Jerusalem and eventually liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque from the defiling of the Jews invaders, and ultimately see Al-Aqsa Mosque return free and independent to be always a minaret for both the Islam and the Muslims.”

“The grave mistake that any official who faces the masses makes is when he begins to put himself in the cage of accusations and tries to defend himself or a regime he represents which is no more effective than the effect of aspirin,” columnist Mohammed Nasser Al-Sanousi wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“But if we want to truly confront our problems, we must delve into these problems and try to treat them by going to the roots of the problems.

“It is not acceptable to leave the problems until they worsen and then run to find cure after they have afflicted the people. It is safer to begin the treatment when the problem is identified in its earlier stages before the infection afflicts the entire body. The efforts made in prevention may be much more fruitful than the efforts that may be made after that in treating these problems, which may accumulate over time as a result of the method of treating them; so rightfully said prevention is better than cure. What is required is intelligent work.

“Whoever has an idea should not be miserable with his idea, and whoever has help should not be stingy in his efforts. We are faced with successive segments of Kuwaiti society, and these segments differ in their identity in many matters, because they do not interact with each other and do not mix until they give us a clear new ground that we all believe in.

“And we proceed through it to advance Kuwait, and this is the problem that the political arena is witnessing on the land of Kuwait now.”

“In Kuwait, one of the most important lessons we should have learned from the catastrophe of the summer of 1990’s is that the unwritten history was later used against us, such as Saddam’s claims of historical dependence, our theft of his oil, our intransigence in front of his demands and other lies!” columnist Sami Al-Nisf wrote for Annahar daily.

“Only a few years have passed since the fall of Al-Abadi Saddam, yet some has started to falsify history to make Saddam one of the swords of the Arab and Islamic nations, and one of the immortal heroes of Iraq.

“As years passed by, the number of witnesses to his oppression and tyranny has decreased by virtue of the laws of life, lies and falsehoods increased, and history shifted from being against him to being with him. We, in Kuwait, were harmed by the consequence...

“Some historians, media professionals, writers and researchers in Iraq still know about what happened during the rule of the Iraqi Baath party, specifically Saddam’s rule, which eliminated the Ba’ath from among those who were annihilated in Iraq.

“It is our duty in Kuwait to immortalize Saddam’s era and his bloody history through audio and video recordings, documents and witnesses. We should keep them in our audio-visual archives for the day of need, or even to respond to the lies of the enemy, and sometimes, the lies of those who claim our friendship are worse than those of the enemies.”

“What does it mean for newspapers to publish on their front pages the success of the Ministry of Electricity in collecting KD 411 million in 11 months?” columnist Dr Naji Al-Zaid wrote for Al-Jarida daily.

“Yes, what does that mean, especially since it is an acquired right and must be paid! Note that the electricity and water fees here are very low compared to most countries around the world, not huge amounts that burden the citizen’s pocket.

“Not only that, there is a very convenient installment system and you can apply for it without any difficulty.

“Despite all that, many citizens accumulate electricity and water bills, hoping the State will waive off the electricity and water debts one day!

“Many of those who hesitate to pay have previously studied, lived or taken vacations abroad. While abroad, they lived in apartments and houses that they either rent or own. In other countries, they never hesitate to pay the bills, because the law there is strict — electricity and water are cut off if payment is not made within a relatively short period of non-payment. They have to pay after receiving a warning.”
