KLM and Green Hands Environmental team hold ‘healthy & sustainable Girgian’
KUWAIT CITY, April 21: Under the patronage of KLM and in the presence of the Director of Women and Childhood Department, Dr. Amani Al-Tabtabaei,
The Green Hands Environmental Team held a celebration under the title (Healthy and Sustainable Girgian with KLM) in the Martyr Abdul-Wahhab Al-Abdul-Razzaq Park in the AlQadisiyah region.
Health awareness was spread about the importance of healthy Girgian, such as fresh and dried fruits, dates, honey, nuts, popcorn and sesame seeds, and replacing sweets with them, as well as spreading the importance of using environmentally friendly multiuse bags instead of plastic bag which is harmful for the nature and environment.
On the sideline of the event, training workshop was held by Falah Al-Azmi, a researcher in Solar Sustainable Energy and a member of the Green Hands Environmental Team, and the owner of Al-BawardiSolar Company, for all children and their parents.
Training was in line to introduce the importance of using solar energy in our lives and how a sustainable energy can replace conventional energy products to save our environment and nature.
The attendees were handed gifts from KLM Company, lanterns and solar lighting, and concluded with competitions for the public and honoring of the participants by the Women and Childhood Department.
At the end of the event, Appreciation Certificates were awarded for the participants, KLM, Al-BawardiSolar Company and Green Hands Environmental Team.
