Prior booking for appointments

-

KUWAIT CITY, April 23: Ministries and government agencies have reintroduced the requirement of booking appointments electronically and receiving barcodes in order to visit their offices, despite the return to normal life and the ease in the restrictions and conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic on all aspects of life, which had caused disruption of business and the cessation of economic activities for three years, reports AlShahed daily.

Although the Cabinet announced the return of work at 100 percent capacity in ministries, institutions and government bodies, and the resumption of full working hours for all employees after a break of nearly two years, these ministries are still following the past and choosing to bring back disruption of the public interests, which lasted for almost three years, through delay in completing transactions due to lack of proper guidelines for a client should follow, let alone the temperament of the civil employee handling the transaction,

The clients criticized the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Communication, the Ministry of State for Housing Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Electricity and Water, and government agencies for insisting on the prior booking of online appointments even though they went to those offices early in the morning, but to no avail.
