Only 3,622 for Hajj:

-

The concerned authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have specified Kuwait’s share of the number of pilgrims for this year’s Hajj – a total of 3,622; compared to 8,000 before the Corona pandemic, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

Source clarified the number of pilgrims was reduced due to the decision of the Kingdom to limit the number of pilgrims this year to one million, compared to 2.5 million before the pandemic.

Regarding the number of Bedoun pilgrims, sources revealed the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is still waiting for a response from the Saudi authorities.

Sources said the ministry will coordinate with its commerce counterpart to regulate fees for Hajj this year, considering such fees are expected to increase due to the reduction in the number of pilgrims. This is in addition to enabling people with low income to perform Hajj at lower fees; while ensuring they are provided with the best services, sources concluded.
