Kuwait help in corona lauded
KUWAIT CITY, April 24: Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kuwait Dr Zabidullo Zubaydov affirmed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries; praising Kuwait’s support for his country during the
Corona crisis, particularly the provision of medical and humanitarian aid, reports Al-Qabas daily.
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the diplomatic Iftar held at the embassy with a large number of Arab and foreign ambassadors in attendance; Zubaydov announced the opening of direct flights between Kuwait and the capital, Dushanbe, in June. He said an agreement has been reached with Jazeera Airways to operate two direct flights per week.
He pointed out this will strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries, and increase the number of tourists to his country.
He also praised the Ramadan atmosphere in Kuwait; indicating that “Ramadan is the month of love, harmony and peace. We live in a country of peace and religious coexistence. This gathering embodies the approach of Kuwait and Tajikistan in terms of peaceful coexistence between peoples, resolving conflicts through peaceful means, and applying the international law.”
He lauded the country’s hospitality, especially in diwaniyas during the month of Ramadan. He asserted this Kuwaiti advantage will not be found in any other country. Here, everyone meets in one place and anyone is welcome without considering one’s race, nationality or religion, he added.
He also unveiled a plan to hold exhibitions to promote tourism and trade for his country in Kuwait in the coming months.
He commended the efforts that officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government institutions are exerting to provide him with the necessary facilities to carry out his duties either as a representative of his country in Kuwait or as dean of the diplomatic corps.
