Azerbaijan envoy confirms depth of bilateral ties between countries
KUWAIT CITY, April 24: Dean of the European Diplomatic Corps and Azerbaijan Ambassador to Kuwait Ilkhan Kahraman confirmed the depth of bilateral relations between his country and Kuwait; describing such relationship as strong and distinguished, while praising Kuwait’s effective mediation role in resolving regional and international conflicts, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Iftar banquet he organized in honor of journalists and the embassy staff recently, Kahraman revealed that his country had eased travel restrictions. He affirmed that “the PCR test requirement for all travelers to Azerbaijan including those coming from Kuwait has been cancelled.”
He indicated there is a great demand for tourist visa to his country now; pointing out that Kuwaitis and Bedouns can obtain a visa online, provided the passport is valid for at least six months. He added they can also obtain a visa upon arrival at any of Azerbaijan’s airports.
On the other hand, expatriates must apply for visa at the embassy where they will be required to present the original civil ID. They are also allowed to obtain a visa upon arrival only if they are traveling with a Kuwaiti. They must present the original civil ID, while the validity of the passport should not be not less than six months, the Ambassador explained.
He added three Azerbaijan airlines have direct flights from Kuwait to Azerbaijan and vice versa twice a week for each airline.
