‘MoFA to pump fresh blood into diplomatic sector’
CAPT okays KOC’s request to extend deadline for bids
KUWAIT CITY, April 25: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started taking steps to pump fresh blood into the diplomatic sector, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed the ministry intends to ask the ambassadors, who have been in service for 15 years or more outside the country, to return to the head office. Sources affirmed the ministry will soon release the list of these ambassadors.
Sources said the mechanism for determining the ambassadors who will return to the head office remains unclear, but the ministry is keen on giving competent young employees a chance to prove their ability to serve as the representative of Kuwait in various countries.
KOC request okayed: The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has approved the request of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to extend the deadline for the submission of bids for the supply of boats to combat oil pollution for a period of five weeks – until May 31, 2022, reports Al-Rai quoting sources.
Sources added the agency also agreed on floating tenders for the development of water management facilities, chemical injection, and monitoring system in the North Kuwait oil facilities.
Sources said the agency postponed the issuance of a decision on the tender for the comprehensive maintenance and operational support for gas facilities throughout the country.
