NO country in the world demands imprisonment for electronic crimes except Kuwait. In other parts of the world if someone is insulted or abused the crime is punishable by a fine or compensation, not imprisonment, except in Kuwait.

Compensation is better and it is more effective, but this does not happen in Kuwait. Of what benefit is imprisonment for the victim? To the contrary the government will have to spend on the prisoner much more than the fine or compensation.

The fine and compensation is the biggest deterrent, safe and less costly to the treasury.

Yet, tomorrow is another day.
