Tamil Nadu Muslim Association conducts special Iftar program
KUWAIT CITY, April 28: By the Grace of Almighty, Tamil Nadu Muslim Association (TMA), a subsidiary of Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait has conducted a special Iftar program on Thursday, April 21, as a part of an Interfaith Iftar gathering to promote the social harmony among the Tamil speaking diaspora living in Kuwait.
The rogram started with recitation of the Holy Quranic verses by Br. Mohammed Javed. The program was headed by Br. Abdul Wahab, president of TMA and attended by a special guest Anbarasan a principal secretary of VCK, Kuwait chapter.
The chief guest in his speech has expressed deep concern regarding the rising communal intolerance in the home country. He emphasized the peace loving citizens of the country and democratic parties should come forward to raise voice against such kind of violence and hatredness towards a particular community. He has highlighted this kind of Interfaith iftar communal harmony programs should be conducted to promote brotherhood and love among the fellow citizens to understand each other.
During the mid-session of the program a book was presented to Anbarasan as a token of gift by Br. Amanullah, a member of TMA.
An enlightening speech has been delivered by Br. Abdul Wahab, president of TMA. In his speech he has highlighted the difference between spirituality and religiosity. The essence of spirituality is to help, love, care and to spread peace among our fellow brethren. He further added that the month of Ramadan is the Anniversary of Quran which tends to establish Equality, Brotherhood, social justice and to impart Freedom from the slaves of the people to the actual servant of Allah. He requested Everyone to read the Quran with an open heart to get its benefit oneself and the community as a whole.
The program has been much welcomed, ended with a Blessed Iftar meal with nearly 60 participants from different walks of life.
TMA Vice president Br. Mohammed Faiyaz was master of ceremony in heading the program. TMA Advisory member Br. Niyaz program In charge along with the core team members arranged and coordinated the event.
