BDK conducts blood donation campaign during holy month of Ramadan
KUWAIT CITY, April 28: Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter has conducted a Ramadan blood donation drive at Adan Cooperative Blood Transfusion Center. The camp was conducted on April 21, from 08:00 PM and lasted till 12:30 AM. The nationwide campaign of Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter produced substantial results as the blood donation drive witnessed massive donor participation, which outnumbered the expectations. More than 150 donors from the various segments of the Indian community in Kuwait have donated blood at the camp to support the Kuwait Central Blood Bank, to reduce the anticipated blood shortages during the Holy month of Ramadan.
SBC General Trading & Contracting Company employees, led by their Operations Manager, Vysakh Radhakrishnan and HSE Manager, Rohith Krishnan, participated in the blood donation drive as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. “We are committed to being part of social activities to help spread the message of humanity and compassion, which is of prime importance, especially in this Holy Month”, said Vysakh Radhakrishnan about the Management decision to associate with BDK Kuwait Chapter for the Blood Donation Drive. 3B General Trading & Contracting Company employees have associated with BDK’s Ramadan Blood Donation drive for a consecutive second year. After breaking their fast, the Mohimutaly-Mullaji Welfare Society (KuwaitDabhil) members came forward to participate in the blood donation drive.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Sathar Kunnil, a renowned social worker in Kuwait, who rendered a soul-touching Ramadan message, inspiring all the blood donors. Jithin Jose BDK welcomed the gathering. BDK Volunteers RajanThottathil, Nalinakshan and Manoj Mavelikkara have felicitated the blood donors. Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter has presented mementos to SBC General Trading & Contracting Co., 3B General Trading & Contracting Co. and Mohimutaly-Mullaji Welfare Society (Kuwait-Dabhil) as a token of appreciation.
Certificates were presented to all the blood donors who attended the camp. BDK Kuwait expressed their gratitude to the Annual Sponsor BEC Exchange, Camp sponsor Badr Al Sama Medical centre and Malabar Gold and Diamonds. JayanSadasivan BDK has presented a vote of thanks to the guests and blood donors. BDK event coordinator NimishKavalam coordinated the event.
