Trio arrested for trafficking in narcotic pills

Personnel from the Directorate-General of Drugs Control upon orders from the acting Director-General Colonel Muhammad Qabazard have arrested three men, including a citizen of an unidentified GCC country (the nationality of two others is not known) for possessing 10 thousand Larica pills and 7 kilos of Larica powder, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a security source, the arrest came the DGDC men received information from a undercover police agent that the unidentified Gulf citizen was trafficking in narcotics following which the Public Prosecution issued a search and arrest warrant.

Following his arrest and subsequent interrogation, he admitted to the charge and gave interrogators the names of his two accomplices.
