Army Chief in US for talk on vital issues
The Kuwaiti-US Joint Military Committee held its fourteenth session at the headquarters of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) in the capital, Washington DC, during which they discussed the most important issues of common interest and appropriate ways to develop and strengthen them.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said in a press statement today, Thursday, that Kuwait Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah headed the Kuwaiti Army delegation participating in this session, while the US side was represented by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for the Middle East, Dana Stroul.
The ministry added, that to welcome the visit of the Kuwait Army Chief of Staff and his accompanying delegation, the Vice-Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Christopher W. Grady, held a special lunch in honor of Lieutenant General Khaled Saleh, during which the two sides exchanged cordial conversations, and stressed the depth of bilateral relations and the importance of strengthening Kuwaiti-US military cooperation. It is noteworthy that Lieutenant-General Khaled Saleh and the high-level delegation accompanying him are visiting Washington to participate in this session. He also met earlier with US Army Chief of Staff General James McConville. (KUNA)
