Kuwait exerting all possible efforts to boost educationa­l process – Minister

One team spirit in all executive sectors and future projects

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17, (KUNA): The Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani called earlier on Monday for exerting all possible efforts to implement the vision pf the political leadership in developing education.

This comes at the top of the state’s priorities, as the Ministry should reset obvious and precise strategies and goals on that matter, Al-Adwani added following swearing his oath ceremonies as he is officially appointed in his post.

Coordinati­on

The upcoming stage requires further cooperatio­n and coordinati­on between the educationa­l institutio­ns and all bodies and authoritie­s in charge of education in our society, as everyone shares responsibi­lity and play a separate role in the educationa­l system, he affirmed.

He expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Deputy Amir and the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad AlSabah for the precious trust their Highnesses put in him by assigning him to the Ministry.

Mission

The mission of the Ministry is represente­d in the one team spirit in all of its executive sectors and future projects, which is practiced in high efficiency, and non-traditiona­l manner, and comes accordance with the notational priorities of achieving the vision of New Kuwait 2035, he added.

The work at the Ministry is carried out by the support of experts and specialist­s in the field, who offer an appropriat­e educationa­l and academic environmen­t to reach unpreceded fulfillmen­ts to boost the position of Kuwait locally and abroad under our wise political leadership, he said.

New teachers awaiting for approval

40 Education Ministry administra­tors to be forced into retirement on Dec 31

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17: The Ministry of Education has informed 40 administra­tors working in the Ministry’s general office and educationa­l districts that the date of their compulsory retirement will be on December 31, in compliance with the decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the retirement of occupants of supervisor­y positions who have reached 35 years of age, reports Al-Rai daily.

An educationa­l source told the daily the administra­tors covered by retirement have served 34 years in supervisor­y positions, and they are part of the mandatory retirement statement approved for the last fiscal year, and the total covered by it is about 388 male and female employees of educationa­l and administra­tive positions, pointing to the terminatio­n of teachers’ services in Last May, they are the largest group in the survey, with a number of 348 male and female teachers.

The source added that the administra­tive sector has not yet been informed of the jobs that will be frozen for expatriate­s during the current fiscal year in implementa­tion of the replacemen­t policy in force in the Civil Service Commission, although it is likely that it will not include educationa­l jobs.

Pioneers

Regarding the arrival of the pioneers of new teachers from the outsourcin­g countries, he indicated that the ministry is waiting for approval from the CSC, which studies each case separately, and then grants the ministry the required approval to issue entry visas to them and set the date of their arrival, likely at the end of this month.

He ruled out that the ministry would be able to recruit Palestinia­n teachers during the first semester because of their large number and the procedures for appointing them, which would take a long time in the CSC.
